Getting Silver Tray images on white can be a real challenge. Recently, I got this challenging work from one of my clients. The trays were quite large and with intricate design. Showing all aspects of the product was really necessary. Try using an open room with just 1 white backdrop and 1 white light.
A little shade , little light phenomenon gives the much needed 3D look to the detailed design on the tray. Adding some props is easy.
